Coumadin is a drug prescribed to thin the blood and prevent the development of clots. The use of Coumadin must be monitored closely to ensure correct dosage and to minimize the risk of bleeding due to excessive blood thinning. The Coumadin Clinic is designed to assist patients taking Coumadin in easily and accurately managing their coumadin levels. Simply schedule an appointment and our trained medical assistants will obtain a sample of your blood by fingerstick to measure your coumadin level. This information is reviewed with your physician and any needed adjustments in dosage are made immediately.
Prior to the visit, the insurance copay will be collected if required.
